Why it surprised us
We added Cadini to our Tre Cime morning because it sounded like a short, easy panoramic hike. The distance was short. The exposure was the surprise.
Open ledges change the difficulty
Some sections felt very open, with ledges and steep drop-offs that made the hike more intimidating than its mileage suggests. We thought it was beautiful and were glad we did it, but we would not describe the experience as casually easy for someone nervous about heights.
Should you add it to Tre Cime?
Yes, if you are comfortable with exposure and conditions are good. The scenery is spectacular and it pairs naturally with Tre Cime from the Rifugio Auronzo area. If exposed trails make you anxious, Tre Cime itself gives you an enormous amount of scenery without needing this add-on.
